Suzanne Jordan – Aspiring Shover and Maker

Ok, so I’m not really a Shover and Maker quite yet. I am an MLIS graduate student at the University of Rhode Island. I Shove my 2 young kids in the car and Move them to school every day. I work at a web development company, Embolden Design, where most of the time I wrestle with integrating custom designs into the DotNetNuke framework via HTML and CSS. I also set up and tweak front end stuff on all sorts of neat modules such as blogs, video players, photo galleries, forums, RSSables and the like. I haven’t worked in a library yet, but frequent the Providence Public library with my kiddies. I long to be a school media specialist at the elementary level. Just for fun, I decided to join Twitter and start writing children’s book review/annotation Tweets. I just started but am trying to write one every day. I love writing them despite the near impossible feat of saying something meaningful about a book in 142 characters. Check it out here: zanjo
I am so inspired by all you real Shovers and Makers!

Being a parent definitely involves shoving & making. Being an MLIS student involves shoving & making, too.
