Joshua M. Neff

Hi! My name is Joshua M. Neff, one of the Web Content Developers at the Johnson County Library, and I’m naming myself a Shover and Maker for all of my work for the Library Society of the World last year, including setting up a CafePress store, and for helping to organize and participate in the first Library Camp Kansas unconference.

We had around 100 attendees/participants at the first Library Camp Kansas, and everything went more smoothly than I’d even hoped.  Although I really had little to do with organizing the logistics, I was one of the people who originated the unconference and helped plan out it’s execution, which I’m very proud of. We just had out second Library Camp Kansas, and it was just as good as the first (maybe even a little better).

The Library Society of the World continues to chug along, mutating and shifting in some ways, staying constant in others. We still need to get the new Drupal site designed and more functional. But I did start a CafePress store where you can buy LSW T-shirts (and Shovers & Makers T-shirts). More LSW merchandise will be offered in time.

I’m very proud to be a Shover and Maker in the LSW, and I will continue to shove and make for a good long time.
