Fiona Bradley
I’m Fiona Bradley, and I would like to thank my many library friends for giving me a good shove to be a Shover and Maker. I work in Research and Policy at UTS Library. My passion is shoving other librarians and helping them to make the most of their association memberships, giving them opportunities to write and present, to be visible. I like being on the move, traveling and learning about different cultures and libraries.
Some things I had a hand in making over the last year;
- I spent nearly 8 months in The Hague, The Netherlands working for IFLA and helping to build a new website (launching soon!), I loved every minute of it.
- I spoke at conferences in Canada and the US
- I blogged about the Semantic Web
- Had a paper published
- And helped to build a shiny new catalogue

That’s an awful lot for someone who didn’t think she had any accomplishments. Awesome! :-)

Love the semantic web blog! I’ve been interested in the Semantic web and how it can be used for government information. Keep up the good work, Fiona!

Well, that is what I’m trying to learn more about. I’ve been digging around to see what has been written. For example:

If only I could ensure you were a Mover and Shaker too. We need to acknowledge awesome librarians like you a lot more. Thanks for letting me ride on your coattails and learn so much from your own learning experiences. Congratulations on the worthy honour of being a Maker and Shover.
