I’m Dana Longley from Empire State College, SUNY. My official state title is far too long and generic to put here, but basically I’m an academic distance librarian. I focus on instruction and reference services, although I do a little bit of everything around here given that we only have 3 librarians on staff.

Recently I am most proud of leading the development and implementation of a program of hands-on, online, live library instruction workshops using Elluminate. We have been offering them to students who come to our regional computer labs for a year now, but I pushed to also offer them to students sitting at their home computers and my first session of that is tomorrow!
