Chris Zammarelli
I’m a cataloger at NOAA and the 2009 Chair of SLA’s Government Information Division. I received my MLS from the College of Information Studies at the University of Maryland in 2008, with a concentration in e-government.
At UMD, I wrote a Master’s thesis, Advanced Content In State E-Government: Criteria for Evaluation. I’m proud of that thesis, and I really should do more with the research that went into it. But, I’m more proud that my wife and I had our first kid last year. That’s not related to the library profession, of course, but it’s a proven fact that librarians find Kieran very cute.
I feel like a Mover & Shaker, and I certainly feel like a Shover & Maker (look at all the blogs I’ve made over the years, only to shove them aside). I am also a Hoover & Baker (in that I vacuum up after I bake) and a Lover of “Half Acre” (a song by Hem that some insurance company is trying to ruin for me).
