Hi! I’m Chad Haefele, and I’m a Shover & Maker. I work in Davis Library at UNC Chapel Hill.

My job description involves the term ‘emerging technologies’, and I’m working to get them fully emerged. I run workshops, code pilot projects, and generally try to make other staff aware that all the shiny new things exist. It’s too much to expect everyone to keep up with technology news & trends on top of everything else they do, so I try to fill in that gap for them.

I’ve done a bunch of things lately that I’m really proud of, including kicking off a mobile web development group and coding up a php/mysql poll tool that lets us get quick feedback from our users.
