Hi I’m Bobbi Newman and a shover and a maker! I work as a digital services librarian. I don’t have anything like a typical day as you can see from my post from the Library Day in the Life Project – I started this meme/project in June 2008! (Joshua Neff still hasn’t blogged his day, I’m waiting Josh!)

The thing I’m most proud of is shoving my library into the digital age. This has included introducing blogs, spearheading a project to circulation MP3 players at my library, a grant to get my library a mobile computer lap for training staff and patrons and much more.

But the thing that really, really excites me is being part of libraries right now, because there are some truly amazing things happening. New developments are flying by, changes to our profession – what it means to be a librarian and be a library are happening right now. Faster and more dramatically than they have ever happened before and I get to be here, to participate and throw in my 2 cents (which I do on my blog, Librarian by Day). How awesome is that?
