I’m Abigail Goben. I’m a Youth Services Librarian at La Crosse Public Library in La Crosse, WI. I blog at Hedgehog Librarian and, when introduced to the Library Society of the World, I realized I’d found my people.

I’m not quite 18 months into my tenure at this job, where I’ve had opportunity to shove and to make. I’m aggressively weeding and breathing life back into a couple of collections that have desperately needed it, pulling out some programs for elementary age kids as well as storytime, orchestrating the knitters, and helping put together a new website (some days pulling content together by sheer force of will).

I’m pleased to be a Shover and Maker, because it means being part of an actively creating group.I’m honored to be one of you and hope to continue to inspire you as you do me.
